The sky appears blue because sunlight hits the atmosphere and is scattered in all directions by air molecules. The blue wavelengths are scattered the most, which gives the sky its color.
Grass is green because it contains chlorophyll, which absorbs mostly blue and red sunlight and reflects green. Chlorophyll helps with photosynthesis, the process by which plants convert carbon dioxide and water into sugar and oxygen. The sugar is used by the plant as an energy source, and the oxygen is released into the atmosphere.
There is no difference. AI (Artificial intelligence) is the English term for the German translation: KI (Künstliche Intelligenz).
Graphic Design
Corporate Identity (CI) describes the collection of characteristics and elements that distinguish a company from others. This includes aspects like the company’s appearance (e.g., logo, colors), corporate culture and philosophy, and communication strategy. A strong CI helps shape the company’s image and attract the target audience.
Corporate Design (CD) refers to the visual design of a company, including elements like the logo, colors, fonts, and imagery. It is an important part of Corporate Identity (CI) and helps strengthen the company’s brand and create a consistent appearance. Successful corporate design makes the company recognizable and appealing to the target audience.
CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black and is a color model used in print media. Colors are created by overlaying Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black, with each of these primary colors specified on a scale from 0 to 100. CMYK is a subtractive color model, meaning black is achieved when all the colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) are at their highest value.
RGB stands for Red, Green, Blue and is a color model used to display colors on digital screens and projectors. Colors are created by combining different intensities of Red, Green, and Blue, each specified on a scale from 0 to 255. RGB is an additive color model, meaning white is achieved when all colors (Red, Green, and Blue) are at their highest value.
Vector graphics are computer-generated graphics made up of geometric shapes like lines, curves, and polygons. They differ from raster graphics, which are made of pixels, by being scalable without losing quality. They are ideal for logos, icons, and digital illustrations and visualizations.
Raster graphics, also known as bitmap images, are digital images composed of pixels. Each pixel represents a specific color, and the totality of pixels creates the complete image. Raster graphics are generally not scalable without losing quality and are commonly used in photography, web design, or gaming.
dpi stands for "dots per inch" and refers to the resolution of raster images. It describes the number of pixels that fit in an inch (2.54 cm). The higher the dpi number, the higher the resolution and, therefore, the image quality. A higher dpi means more pixels are placed in a smaller area, resulting in sharper and more detailed images. Printing typically requires a higher dpi (300 dpi) compared to screens (72 dpi).
Offset printing is a printing process in which the printing plate is coated with a photosensitive coating that is etched by exposure to a print template. The ink is then transferred to a rubber sheet or roller, which is used to transfer it onto paper or another medium. Offset printing provides high print quality and offers the best price for large print runs.
Digital printing is a printing process in which the print is transferred directly from a digital file to the print medium. It does not use printing plates but prints directly onto paper or other materials. It is a flexible method that enables fast and easy printing of small runs, customizations, and even single pieces.
A QR code (Quick Response Code) is a two-dimensional barcode used to quickly and easily scan and read data. It consists of black and white squares arranged in a specific pattern to store information such as URLs, contact details, text messages, etc. QR codes can be read using a smartphone camera or a QR code scanner.

A secure password should, contrary to popular belief, be longer rather than more complex. Today, your password should be 16 characters or more. It should be a password that is easy to remember and should not be used elsewhere. Complexity does help with security, but there’s no point in choosing a complex password that is constantly forgotten and therefore written down.
An IP address (Internet Protocol Address) is a unique numerical identifier assigned to each device on the Internet to identify it and send and receive data. There are two types of IP addresses: IPv4 and IPv6. An IPv4 address consists of four blocks of digits separated by periods (e.g., 192.168.1.1), while IPv6 addresses consist of eight blocks of four hexadecimal characters separated by colons (e.g., 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334). IP addresses are important for Internet connection and communication.
TLD stands for Top-Level Domain. It is the last part of a domain name, following the last dot, and indicates what type of organization or country registered the domain. Examples of TLDs are .at, .com, .org, .net, .info, .de, .fr, and many more. Most TLDs can be registered by anyone, while some are specific to certain countries or organizations, such as .edu for educational institutions. TLDs help uniquely identify and distinguish websites and email addresses.
A domain is a unique name assigned to an IP address on the Internet and used to identify websites and email addresses. An example of a domain is "www.example.at". Domains can be registered in various Top-Level Domains (TLDs), such as .at, .com, .org, .net, .info, and many more. A registered domain is an essential part of a website’s identity and makes it easier for users to find and visit the site.
A website is a collection of web pages accessible via the Internet. The term website refers to the entire set of web pages, including the homepage. It can contain text, images, videos, and other media.
A web page is a single page within a website that is accessible via the Internet. The homepage is also a web page, but not every web page is a homepage.
A homepage is the first page of a website that visitors see when they visit the site. It is typically the main entry point from which visitors can navigate to other pages of the website.
A landing page is a webpage that a user arrives at, for example, by clicking on an online advertisement or a link sent by email.
WebP is an image format developed by Google designed to reduce image size compared to other formats like JPEG or PNG without losing quality. It is particularly suitable for web use as it loads faster and reduces website loading time. WebP supports both lossy and lossless compression, making it suitable for photographs and illustrations.
A mail server is a server that receives, stores, and sends emails. When someone sends an email, it is delivered to the recipient's mail server, which stores it in a mailbox. The recipient can then retrieve the email using an email client.
Email communication occurs through servers that receive, store, and send emails. Each email address consists of a username and a domain separated by the "@" symbol. An email is sent over the internet to the recipient's mail server and stored there. The recipient can then read it in their mailbox.
SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is a standard protocol for sending emails on the internet. It ensures that emails are forwarded from one mail server to another until they reach the recipient's mail server.
POP3 (Post Office Protocol Version 3) is a protocol used by email clients to download emails from the mail server. POP3 downloads emails to the computer and usually removes them from the server, making them inaccessible in webmail.
IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) is a protocol for managing emails on a mail server. Unlike POP3, emails remain stored on the server and can be accessed from different devices. IMAP allows synchronizing emails between multiple devices.
IMAP and POP3 are both email protocols, but they function differently. IMAP keeps emails on the server and allows reading and synchronizing them from various devices, while POP3 downloads emails to the computer and usually removes them from the server.
A subdomain is a domain that exists under a main domain and is often used to organize different areas of a website or provide different services. An example of a subdomain is "blog.example.com".
HTTPS (HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure) is a secure version of the HTTP protocol used for data transmission between web browsers and servers. HTTPS uses SSL/TLS encryption to ensure data protection during transmission.
A URL (Uniform Resource Locator) is an address used to find a specific resource on the internet, such as a webpage, image, or file. A URL consists of different parts like the protocol (http:// or https://), domain name, and path to the resource.
A CMS (Content Management System) is software that allows creating, editing, and managing content on a website. Examples of CMS include WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It is the process of optimizing a website or web page to increase its visibility and ranking in search engines like Google. By optimizing factors like content, metadata, structure, and links, SEO aims to make the site easier for search engines to index and improve the chances of ranking higher in search results.
Responsive design refers to an approach for websites where the layout adapts to the screen size of the device. This enhances user experience across various devices such as smartphones, tablets, and desktops.
